PRESERVING THE FLAVORS OF MICHIGAN’S HARVESTS FOR NEARLY 90 YEARS

In 1929, Dmitri Safie began preserving home-grown vegetables to provide for his family during the Great Depression. After creating a unique blend of ingredients, the business grew from the family kitchen into a large packing facility. Now owned and operated by the family’s third generation, the company continues to focus on quality, freshness, and time-honored traditions.

Based in Chesterfield, Mich., Safie offers gourmet condiments such as pickled beets, cucumbers, asparagus, beans, peppers, onions, cauliflower, and okra. All products are hand-picked using the highest-quality ingredients, whole spices, fresh herbs, and locally-grown vegetables. Offering many gluten-free and kosher options, Safie makes all products in small batches to ensure superior quality. The family’s passion for food and love of cooking dictates a level of quality that will never be compromised in the ingredients used or service provided. Now, nearly 90 years after being established, Safie’s vision remains true to classic tradition in creating culinary masterpieces.
