MARSHALL PLASTIC FILM
MARTIN, MICHIGAN

Marshall Plastic Film is a privately held company located in Southwestern Michigan equidistant from Chicago, Illinois and Detroit, Michigan. The company was founded in 1972 by A. Marshall Forsberg.

Initial product emphasis was low density polyethylene flexible packaging; specifically packaging of other manufacturers for use of packaging their products. The emphasis on this Industrial Packaging product line encouraged the acquisition of facilities enabling the production of a wide range of product sizes and thicknesses in significant volumes. The company was one of the first to be equipped to extrude very high percentage linear low density blends. With this capability came an emphasis on the use of science to demystify both production and products. The on-site laboratory contains many instruments and an archive of studies that were generated by the use of the instruments that guide in product design and process verification. Pre 2000, the company affirmed its commitment to high quality standards by gaining ISO 9001 certification. A significant part of ISO certification is the emphasis on the contract with the customer for product design and production specifications.
